"Any sensible person right now would join an anti-capitalist organization"

Took a break from Star Trek to watch this animation of a lecture by David Harvey. Quite enjoyed it.

OK, I'm gonna go check on what Commander Sisko and pals are up to.

Yup, ditto.

I never got DS9. Ever. Must be me.

I only got Voyager after Seven's tits got there, not because of Seven's tits but because I didn't like the character she replaced (and the writing got better imho).

Thanks, some guy, and glad you liked it, Richard.

I loved DS9 at the time, but I was 11 or 12 when it started and after a few years the local station that aired it moved it to some ridiculous time like 1 in the morning so I lost track of it. I'm currently trying again and enjoying it quite a bit. Its concerns and structure are very different from TOS or TNG, and I don't like it in the same way that I usually like Star Trek, but it's enjoyable in its own way. I hear it gets much better after the first season, too.

I stopped watching Voyager long before the Breasts showed up. I think after a string of four or five "we're acting weird because of this nebula!" episodes I just got bored. The arrival of the Breasts convinced me I had made the right decision, but are you telling me it got better? I might try it at some point.

And yeah, Kes sucked.
