Memorial Day

At least 350,000 dead Koreans.

At least three million dead Vietnamese.

At least two million dead Laotians and Cambodians.

No idea how to begin estimating how many dead South Americans from various countries.

At least two million dead Iraqis.

Tens of thousands of dead Afghans.

And, uh, so on.

This would make a good game to play with any true-blue-Amurican Christian.

Give them this list and then time them to see how long it takes to find justification for it in the bible.

New Testament only! We all know that the Old Testament God was all Christopher Walken crazy and shit.

now work out the estimated value of each life and get us a total! i wanna know what i'm worth!

Frankly, I think the more interesting game would be to take the list and present it to your average liberal and wait for their justifications/sidesteppings.

d.mantis & Richard, sounds like a fun variation on the game d.mantis suggested in the "Everybody stop trying" post.

baronette, non-American lives are even cheaper to us than they are to the heathens, who, as everyone knows, don't value human life. So I think you're out of luck.

Anony, I thought about going back further, but then things would have been complicated by the fact that the people we aggressively murdered in expansionist bids for imperial power were occasionally doing the same thing to other people, which doesn't excuse anything but does muddy the numbers a bit.
