Apparently it actually has something to do with UPS

This is FedEx's term for a legal change that would put them under the same regulatory classification as most shipping companies, thus exposing them equally to unionization.

Right now FedEx falls under some exclusion originally meant for the railway industry that made it harder to form unions.

FedEx has rather humorously attempted to portray the change as a "bailout" for UPS in the sense that FedEx would now be held to the same regulatory standard, whereas previously it held an advantage.

Ah, so it's the corporate version of men's rights activism.

I mostly thought it was some hilarious racism at first.
