The bad thing about
piloting your plane into an IRS building is that all you're doing is targeting a bunch of people who are just trying to make a living. It's like a more dramatic version of yelling at the bank teller about your overdraft fees; it might feel good in the moment but ultimately all you're doing is participating in your own class's victimization.
Notice he also tried to kill his wife and daughter by burning down his house with them inside before he left. I don't think hurting innocent people was a consideration for him.
ReplyDeleteI saw that he burned down his house, but somehow missed that his wife and daughter were there. And no, I don't think it was a consideration for him, but then again I don't think it's a consideration for the person who yells at the bank teller, either.

ReplyDeleteSince you're on, have you seen http://rageagainstthemanchine.com?
ReplyDeleteI haven't. I don't have the energy right now to introduce myself to a new blog, but it looks interesting--I'm always on the lookout for good feminist blogs outside of the Shakesville mold. I've added it to my reading list. Thank you!
